How to Find the Hidden Nocturne
Nobody is labelled. Watch who drinks, who skips power, and who needs a story. Then extract anyway.
Voice chat is off. The hidden player looks human until they drink. Official Survivor copy tells you to watch people who linger near vials. Official Nocturne copy tells them to drink unseen, then lie and vote out the innocent. This page is the living-side search. The notepad version is the suspicion checklist. The monster version is how to play Nocturne.
You are not trying to be a detective who never extracts. You are trying to shrink the list enough that cycle two has a hatch. One escape still wins. See how to escape.
The only hard tell
A seen drink. If you have a sightline on the serum animation, that is not a debate club. Bring it to the vote with a location. Everything else is a pattern.
Patterns that stack:
- Linger at vials with empty hands, more than once.
- Zero breaker progress while others repair.
- Double-backs to the same alcove.
- Arriving to a group task from the vial wing with no loot.
- A vote speech with no location fact.
One walk-by is nothing. A camp is everything.
What is not a tell
- Scary avatar. The universe morphs to R6. Hats lie.
- “They main Wendigo.” Cosmetics are not a role.
- Walking funny. Controls on mobile look like that.
- Being quiet. Quiet is default when voice is unsupported.
- Being loud about Nightweaver trivia. That is a wiki tab, not a drink.
If your only case is a vibe, you are the wagon the hidden player wants. They are instructed to vote innocents. Help them less.
Kit names versus this match
Public lists name six Nocturnes around release: Nightweaver, Prototype, Wraith, Banshee, Abomination (N020), Wendigo (N021). Starters for the badge are the first three. Knowing the roster helps you guess how they hunt in the dark (door versus nest versus clumsy alibi). It does not tell you who drank in cycle one. Always return to vials and power.
On Ruined Cathedral tiles, side chapels hide drinks; the nave punishes chases. Count heads after each blackout. A missing name is information. A name that “found the body” and also skipped every box is more information.
Vote without throwing
- Accuse with a fact or skip.
- Do not vote the only person on power unless you watched them drink. You might delete your win condition.
- If two people hard-commit with no ticks, one of them may be the monster creating a story.
- After a vote, go back to boxes or extract. A messy social window is a stealth win for the night form.
If you never find them
That is allowed. Play for the hatch. A lobby that extracts without a correct vote still wins. A lobby that 1v1s a Wraith in a side room and misses the out still loses. Survivor tiers exist because of that sentence.
If the lobby is three people, the hidden role is loud. If it is eight, it is quiet. Adjust how hard you vote: small lobbies can afford a fact-based vote; full eights should extract unless you saw a drink. Server size is 8. That math belongs on the match planner.
Redeem codes in the lobby so the shop is not why you queued angry. Then look at the bottles, not the posters.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the best way to spot the Nocturne?
A seen serum drink is the hard tell. Otherwise stack vial linger with skipped breakers. Details in the serum guide.
Should I vote on the first suspicion?
No. One walk-by is not a case. Use the suspicion checklist.
What if we never find them?
Extract. One Survivor out still wins. See how to escape.
Do kit names prove who it is?
No. Nightweaver, Prototype, Wraith, Banshee, Abomination, and Wendigo are roster names. This match is still vials and power.
