Nocturne Survivor Tier List
No named heroes. Just habits that get one living player through the hatch.
Survivors in Nocturne are a role, not a gacha row. This list still belongs in tier list because players search “best Survivor” and need an answer that is not a fake character. We rank habits. Pair with how to survive, breakers, and serum watch.
The only S-tier Survivor is the one who understands the official win rule: if even one Survivor escapes, Survivors win. Everything below is how often a habit produces that sentence.
S — Hatch closer
You touch power in cycle one, you glance at vials while walking, you do not start a 1v1 in the nave during cycle two. When the second blackout is in motion you already know who is healthiest and which door is the out. You will look cowardly. You will be correct. This is the rank that beats Nightweaver nests and Wraith door camps without ever “winning a fight.”
A — Breaker lead
You drag the lobby onto boxes. You do not stack six people. You note who never helps. You bring that fact to the vote. You sometimes die because you were the only adult. Still A, because long blackouts are how monsters farm. Read the match planner if you keep repairing alone.
B — Vial cop
You are the person who actually watches bottles. Necessary. Dangerous if you forget to repair. A vial cop who never touches power is indistinguishable from a Nocturne who is waiting to drink. Do both jobs or drop to C.
C — Loot tourist
Tools matter. Flashlights on cathedral floors matter. A full cycle of sightseeing does not. If your inventory is rich and the boxes are cold, you are feeding the night. Loot on a rotation or you are a highlight.
D — Hero duelist
You chase the monster into a side room to “confirm.” You skip the hatch to avenge a friend. You vote first and loudest with no fact. The official hidden-role brief wants you. Stop helping.
F — Dead weight / scripted
AFK in lobby, AFK on a box, or injecting ESP so you can skip the social game. Ban risk plus a ruined trial for everyone else. See scripts for the warning, then uninstall the habit.
How monster tiers change this list
Against likely Nightweaver, S-tier means do not nest. Against likely Wraith, S-tier means do not funnel. Against likely Prototype, S-tier means audit the clumsy teammate. The Nocturne killer list is a scouting report. This page is still the exam.
Account extras
Redeem codes even if you never queue monster. Shop kits change what hunts you. Learn controls so mobile players can actually look at vials. After patches, updates may change blackout length — that would move Breaker lead up or down.
Practise one rank per night. If you always loot, force a breaker-lead queue. If you always repair, force a hatch-closer queue in cycle two. The list only moves you if you pick a letter and play it.
Play like the hatch is the only letter that matters, because it is. Tools on the planner exist to lock that choice before the experience finishes loading.
A five-stack that all pick hatch closer will still lose if nobody repairs. Assign one breaker lead in Discord, then the rest close. Letters are personal; power is a team clock.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Who is the best Survivor character?
There is no public named Survivor roster. Rank habits: hatch closing and breaker work beat loot tourism.
Is watching vials S-tier?
It is A/B if you also repair. Vial-only play looks like a monster waiting to drink.
Why is chasing the Nocturne low tier?
One escape wins. A confirm chase that misses the hatch is a loss even if you ‘saw’ the kit.
Do codes make me a better Survivor?
They grant Runes that change enemy unlocks. They do not replace breaker discipline. Claim them on the codes hub.
